Interesting, but the egg seems overly cautious. Eggs are sold on non-refrigerated shelves here, they don’t need to be in the fridge (unless you keep them for weeks of course)
That’s for US eggs, which have their outer protective membrane washed off. Eggs anywhere that inoculates chickens against salmonella (unlike the US) are good for a long time, easily the 3-4 weeks stated.
